Plant, Utes and the Gear That Has No Ignition

One screen for the whole yard. GPS on vehicles and machinery, an asset register for the trailers and attachments that have no power to connect to, and pre-start records ready when the principal contractor asks.

Before

Half Your Fleet Doesn't Have an Ignition

The excavator you can find. The float, the compactor plate, the light tower and the six trailers are another story. They move between sites on someone else's truck and turn up in a different yard, or they don't turn up at all.

  • Attachments and trailers that nobody can locate this morning
  • Machinery sitting idle on a finished site, still on hire
  • No record of which crew had which piece of plant
  • Pre-start books demanded at induction and produced late
  • Off-road hours you are probably not claiming back
After Protekt

Everything on One Register, Powered or Not

Vehicles and plant get a GPS unit. Everything else goes on the asset register at $11 per asset per month, no unit and no power required.

  • Live location for utes, trucks and machinery
  • Asset register for trailers, attachments and site gear
  • Site arrival and departure for every tracked vehicle
  • Pre-start records with photos, ready at induction
  • Engine hours and idle time per machine

How It Works

Built around a yard that never holds still

1

Track What Moves Itself

GPS units go into utes, trucks and machinery. Hardwired, hidden, $285 per vehicle once-off and yours outright.

2

Register What Doesn't

Trailers, attachments, light towers and toolboxes go on the register at $11 per asset per month. You record where each one is and who has it, without hardware.

3

Produce the Paperwork

Pre-start records, service history and site movements are all there when the principal contractor, the insurer or the auditor asks.

What Civil Contractors Use

The parts that pay for themselves on a job of any size

Untracked Asset Register

Trailers, attachments and site gear on the same screen as the vehicles, at $11 per asset per month with no GPS unit needed.

Site Arrival and Departure

Mark each site once. Know when plant arrived, when it left and how long it sat there doing nothing.

Pre-Starts for Induction

Plant pre-starts on a phone, with photos of defects. When the principal contractor asks for records, they already exist. $11 per vehicle per month.

Engine Hours and Idle

Hours per machine for servicing and for hire reconciliation, plus idle time you can actually do something about.

Theft and After-Hours Alerts

Machinery moving at 2am is worth knowing about immediately. Power-cut and tow alerts on every tracked unit.

Off-Road Distance Records

Distance travelled off public roads, recorded per vehicle. The starting point for a fuel tax credit conversation with your accountant.

Why the Asset Register Exists

Most tracking systems only understand things with a battery. On a civil job, a good share of what goes missing has no power at all.

A GPS unit needs something to draw power from. A box trailer, a compactor plate, a set of traffic boards or a bundle of rock breakers do not have that, so they fall outside every system that assumes an ignition. They are also, conveniently for whoever takes them, the easiest things on site to hitch up and drive away.

The asset register handles those. Each item gets a record, a location, a person responsible and a history, updated as it moves between sites. It costs $11 per asset per month with no hardware to buy, and it means the answer to "where is the float" is on the same screen as the utes.

  • No hardware. Nothing to fit, nothing to charge, nothing to fail.
  • Same screen as the vehicles. One register for the whole yard, not a spreadsheet beside the real system.
  • Who has it, and since when. Assignment and history, so the question has an answer.
  • $11 per asset per month. This is the untracked-asset price and it does not include a GPS unit. Vehicles that need live tracking are $22.

What It Costs on a Civil Fleet

Published prices, so you can work it out before you ring us

Vehicles and plant

$22 per vehicle per month on Fleet, or $29 on Pro Fleet, exc. GST. GPS hardware is $285 per vehicle, once, and you own it.

Trailers and attachments

$11 per asset per month on the register, exc. GST, with no GPS unit and no install. This is not a tracking price and it does not give live location.

No lock-in, ever

Month to month on everything. Scale up for a big job and back down when it finishes, without renegotiating a contract.
